The Best Leeds Wedding Venues
VENUE GUIDE

Looking for the perfect wedding venue in Leeds?
Looking for the perfect place to get married in West Yorkshire? From grand historic halls to cool, industrial breweries, Leeds has an incredible variety of spaces to say ‘I do.’ As a Yorkshire wedding photographer with 15 years of experience, I’ve had the joy of shooting at some of the best wedding venues in Leeds. Below is my insider guide to my absolute favourite local venues, complete with a few photographer tips on why they make for amazing wedding photos!
Why I Love Photographing Weddings in Leeds
Leeds is a vibrant city. The city I spent the most of my youth in, a city I studied in and the city I had my last proper job in. It’s an ever changing landscape with incredible architecture both historic and modern.

Alternative & Industrial Leeds Wedding Venues
Left Bank Leeds
Left Bank Leeds is a former church that’s a huge dramatic events space.
Northern Monk – The Chapter Hall
Northern Monk is a brewery located in The Old Flax Store, a Grade II listed mill in Holbeck, Leeds. The Chapter Hall is located on the top floor, a space for unique weddings and private functions. It’s a non-traditional venue for your wedding reception, with beer on tap! I photographed a lovely wedding there and can’t wait to return. The architecture is different from your average wedding venue and you can even get pictures in the brewery. The Holbeck Urban village area this is located in is an industrial vibe red brick part of Leeds not far from the train station. I love exploring the pockets of light amongst the buildings and adore the natural light the huge windows provide in the Chapter Hall.

Beautiful Ceremony Venues in Leeds
Leeds Civic Hall
Whilst Leeds Town Hall is undergoing renovations, wedding ceremonies are being held at Leeds Civic Hall. Leeds Civic Hall is a Grade II listed building located in Millennium Square in Leeds, built in off-white portland stone. If you look closely, you can see two 2.3 metres high gold-leaf covered owls on top of its twin towers, which are joined by four more owls on columns in Millennium Square. It replaced Leeds Town Hall as an administrative centre in 1933.

Hotel Wedding Venues
Wood Hall Wedding venue
Wood Hall hotel and spa is a luxurious Leeds wedding venue, located near Wetherby. Originally built as a country escape in the 18th century, Wood Hall Hotel & Spa remains a tranquil country house hotel. The hotel offers 44 bedrooms, a 2 AA Rosette restaurant and a small health club and spa. One of my favourite weddings to photograph at Wood Hall was just before lockdown in 2020 and the ceremony was in The Georgian Restaurant, a beautifully lit room for a wedding ceremony. It was my favourite Wood Hall wedding because we knew that events were soon going to be restricted, so it felt like the last time we could socialise and enjoy living in the moment.
Weetwood Hall
Weetwood Hall Estate, Leeds is set within nine acres of beautiful woodlands and gardens and built around a 17th Century Jacobean Manor House. Providing the very best in contemporary and unique guest experiences, our hotel is steeped in rich history with parts of our beautiful property dating back as far as 1540. Indulge yourself in the tranquil surroundings of our grand estate and escape everyday life with us here in Leeds at Weetwood Hall.
Cookridge Hall
Situated just 8 miles north of Leeds city centre, Bannatyne Cookridge Hall is a Grade II listed historic hall dating back to 1721. The listed building, set amongst an 18 hole golf course and beautiful grounds, making it a beautiful backdrop for you wedding celebrations.

I’ve shot over 200 weddings in Leeds.
