Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey Wedding
My final wedding of 2023 was Jude and Graham’s at the Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey. This beautiful Yorkshire wedding venue boasts rustic charm, with twinkly lights and wooden beams, making it ideal for a winter wedding. The venue’s enchanting atmosphere captivates every couple, and this wedding was no exception.
Stunning Imagery of Tithe Barn

The Tithe Barn features a rustic yet elegant aesthetic, with its high ceilings and classic stone walls, creating a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography. The charm of the barn is complemented by the surrounding landscapes, which provide a picturesque outdoor setting.

Bridal Prep at Olicana Park, Ilkley
I started with bridal prep for Jude and her three bridesmaids at one of the nearby luxury cabins at Olicana Park. I would highly recommend Olicana Park if you’re getting married at The Tithe Bar, it’s a stunning luxury park not far away. The cabin offered breathtaking views of the River Wharfe, and the light pouring in created the ideal setting for capturing those intimate moments before the ceremony. I love being able to get to know the bridal party ahead of the wedding ceremony and bridal prep gives me that opportunity to observe interactions between the people closest to the couple.

Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey Wedding Photography

The Tithe Barn is a 16th-century Yorkshire wedding venue located on the Duke of Devonshire’s Bolton Abbey Estate in North Yorkshire. It features stunning views over the historic Bolton Abbey Priory ruins, creating a unique and romantic atmosphere for couples.
The 16th-century stone walls of the Tithe Barn create an incredible acoustic for those first arrivals. Watching Graham welcome guests under the massive timber arches, you could already feel the energy of the day building. After the ceremony, Jude and Graham took a moment away from their guests for a few precious minutes together, allowing me to capture their love amidst the beautiful surroundings.
We then transitioned to the confetti exit, where guests showered the couple in celebration. The weather was absolutely stunning but quite cold. Regardless, the joy and warmth from the gathering made it feel like a summer day. After the group shots, I took the newlyweds outside once more for some couple portraits, taking advantage of the gorgeous golden hour light. As a wedding photographer, I thrive on capturing these magical moments, especially when the sun is low in the sky, casting a warm glow over the couple.

Wedding Reception

As the light outdoors faded, the indoor space of Tithe Barn became even more inviting. The twinkly lights and candles created a warm and intimate atmosphere, perfect for the evening festivities. The ambience was magical, and I was excited to capture the various elements of the reception.
We had speeches from Jude’s father, Graham, and best man Sam, each filled with emotion and laughter. The stories shared added a personal touch and made the evening truly special. Guests were entertained, and the atmosphere was filled with love and joy, a true testament to the couple’s relationships with their friends and family.

First Dance
The first dance was a high-energy rendition of The Supremes’ “You Can’t Hurry Love,” and it was an absolute delight to capture. Jude and Graham’s infectious energy lit up the dance floor as they twirled and celebrated their love in front of their family and friends. It was a moment of pure joy and excitement, encapsulating the spirit of the day.

Thank you so much, Jude and Graham, for allowing me to capture your Tithe Barn Bolton Abbey wedding. I wish you a lifetime of happiness and love together. Every wedding tells a unique story, and I’m grateful to have been part of yours.

WHY I LOVE THE TITHE BARN
Your special day captured
The team at The Tithe Barn are always a pleasure to work with, they ensure the day runs smoothly and flows perfectly.
My favourite thing about the venue is that even on a winters day, the venue offers a beautiful backdrop for your wedding. With the pockets of light, arguably the nicest registrars in Yorkshire, tasteful decor and underfloor heating if gets chilly.
Outdoors we have views over the ruins of Bolton Abbey and open landscape to the front of the building.
