Stephanie & Ben’s Hackness Grange Wedding

Wedding venues don’t get much better than Hackness Grange. This North Yorkshire gem gave Stephanie and Ben the perfect day for their romantic outdoor ceremony. Hackness Grange is  a 19th century Georgian Manor House in the North York Moors National Park.

Stephanie & Ben’s Wedding Style

Ben looked sharp in his tweed and tan Marc Darcy suit. His groomsmen wore matching Next suits with tan bow ties. The ladies looked stunning in blush bridesmaid dresses while Stephanie wore a beautiful Maggie Sottero bridal gown.

Their wedding cake was my favourite detail. It featured their dog Freddie, who sadly couldn’t make it to the wedding. Such a sweet way to include their fur baby in their special day.

Getting Ready at Hackness Grange

Stephanie and her four bridesmaids had the best time getting ready. The bridal prep room has a proper hair and makeup area with tons of space for dresses.

Ben and his groomsmen got ready in the Honeymoon Suite. This room has a fancy free-standing bath with garden views.

Stephanie’s Maid of Honour, India, was so excited all morning. Ben’s nephews joined them as page boys. You could tell Stephanie adores those little guys.

The Ceremony

Just before walking down the aisle, Ben and his Best Man got the giggles. The ceremony was sweet and romantic. Stephanie shed happy tears as they walked back up the aisle as newlyweds.

Getting married on the island made their ceremony extra special. The lakeside setting at Hackness Grange creates such romantic vibes for couples.

Couple Portraits Around the Grounds

I break couple portraits into short sessions throughout the day. This gives couples time alone together to soak it all in. Wedding days fly by and everyone wants your attention.

Right after the ceremony and confetti, the newlyweds had some quiet time together. Then we did a quick portrait session plus group shots. The kids loved playing on the swing while we worked.

After dinner, we grabbed umbrellas for more portraits. Stephanie really wanted photos on the island and bridge. The grounds at Hackness Grange are perfect for romantic wedding photos.

Reception Fun

After a beautiful first dance, the party really got going. I always stay after the first dance to capture all that dance floor energy. The evening reception was so much fun to photograph.
