Hi, I’m Sadie, the person behind Sadie Ferriday Weddings . A Yorkshire based wedding photographer who has been capturing love stories since 2011. I specialise in relaxed, natural photography across Yorkshire, covering Harrogate, Leeds, York, Skipton, The Dales and the surrounding Northern areas.

Couples book me because of my 15 years of experience shooting, natural contemporary photography across Yorkshire and Northern England. Born and raised in Yorkshire, I’m now settled in the small town of Baildon with my two children and three cats Loki, Milo, and Willow, right in the heart of God’s Own County.
I’ll shoot you gently! I’m a down-to-earth Yorkshire lass, and I know that your wedding is one of the most important milestones of your life. I’m here to photograph what actually matters to you both. And I will listen to you when it comes to what you want from your wedding photographs. My secret skill is that I am “the calm amongst the chaos”, I teach Yoga in my spare time and help people calm their nerves if they’re feeling really stressed.

As a female photographer in Yorkshire with 15 years of experience and over 300 weddings documented, I bring a huge amount of expertise to every wedding I shoot. I absolutely love what I do; if I won the lottery tomorrow, I would still be a wedding photographer in Yorkshire (though I’d definitely hire a personal chef and take a few more holidays to places slightly warmer than West Yorkshire!).

The Process & How I work

LET’S CONNECT
You’ve found the one, now you need the photographer who gets you. We start with an initial consultation, ideally in person. So you can see if I am the right fit for you. It’s so important when choosing your photographer to find someone you gel with.
At your meeting, I get to learn what matters to you both, from your Yorkshire venue choice to the overall energy you want to feel when looking back at your photography and the things and people who mean the most to you. It’s so much easier than over an email chain. We will discuss the flow of your day, timeline and group shots.

Your Day Your way
A month before, we’ll meet again and finalise a plan that fits naturally around your day. I’ll also send you a wedding questionnaire to lock in those group shots and any other details.
I’ll give gentle direction when needed on the day, but most of the time, you won’t even notice I’m there.
You get to spend your day together with your favourite people, not constantly being dragged away from the fun for pictures.

YOU CELEBRATE, I CAPTURE
When I’m shooting a full day wedding, I usually arrive 3 hours before your ceremony for bridal prep and stay a couple of hours after your first dance. Starting off photographing details and getting ready photos. I’ll blend in and document every laugh, hug, and happy tear. Covering the ceremony moments, candids, group shots, couple portraits, through to speeches and the first dance and everything in between. Full-day coverage isn’t “8 hours”. It’s your whole day.
My approach is part documentary, part creative, capturing the feeling of your day.

Within a week you’ll receive your previews, a selection of images from your day. Quickly edited so you can ride the waves of joy from your wedding day. Within 6 weeks, after a full cull and edit, your beautifully curated gallery will be delivered. Ready to share with your friends, family, and anyone who wants to relive your love and your story in Yorkshire.
Each image is hand edited with care and a consistent, timeless style, real colours and emotion you can feel.

Do you photograph weddings outside Yorkshire?
Yes I regularly photograph weddings outside Yorkshire. I have photographed weddings in Liverpool, Lancashire, Chester, Manchester and The Lake District as well as rural France.
How many photos will we receive and when will we get them?
For a full day wedding, it is usually upwards of 600 photographs delivered in your gallery. My standard turnaround time for your full wedding gallery is 4-6 weeks with previews within a week.
